George's Encore: A Must-Visit Spot for Live Music and Delicious Food in Racine

Updated Review - 4/4/25: We wanted tonhear some live music, so we went to George's. We are happy we did. The Music was incredible! It was a blues band. WOW! Super great music! --------- Original Post: Great place to sit at the bar, have a drink, talk, and get something to eat. The service is friendly, helpful, and fast. The food is incredible. I had one of the Smoky Bowls with Smoked Meatloaf. It was delicious! No… it was outstanding! We also had the onion strings. They were good too. If you want to have a good time and like great food… I would highly recommend going to George’s!

Came here for the first time with a friend. The bar was completely packed so we sat in the back where the band stage is. This place is definitely a regulars bar. Looks like the same people that hang out there every day hogging up all the bar seats. Nothing wrong with that at all but at least move out the way and allow others to enjoy the bar area lol. The food was amazing so I will certainly be back. The male bartender light skin black guy was super hospitable and treated us as if he knew who we were. He was amazing! Overall, my visit was 8/10. I certainly look forward to going back when they have a band playing.

The new ownership is awesome! I know the cook and was so excited to hear he was going to a new endeavor. The bbq is so good and the burger sliders were top notch. The service we received was very pleasant and professional. The inside still has the same cool throwback George’s feel with the stage and the old school look. This black is going to be a go to destination this summer. If you haven’t been here yet it’s well worth the stop for a bite to eat I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

This is a nice, quiet little bar. At least when I was there on a Monday night. I haven't tried the food, but the service there was great. The guy behind the bar was great. He was really nice and professional.

First time visiting George’s last night. I was impressed with the very talented musicians who performed at open mike night as well as the great sound provided by the engineer at the sound board. Nice friendly casual atmosphere with great service at the bar. It all added up to an enjoyable relaxing evening with wonderful eclectic music to enjoy as well. We’re looking forward to returning again. Highly recommend this hidden gem in Racine.

First time visiting, came to watch our friends' band perform. This is a really great place for live music and great food! Will be planning to eat and listen to more shows again. Sound is phenomenal, and the bar and restaurant are really well run, top notch.

The owner of Smoke'd on the water is the same owner as this establishment. I had a fantastic visit here with delicious comfort food. I definitely recommend a visit!
